American Canyon is a city in Napa County in California, 42 miles (68 km) northeast of San Francisco. American Canyon is bounded geographically by the Napa River to the west, the foothills of the Sulphur Springs Mountains to the east, Vallejo to the south and vineyards and the Napa County Airport to the north.
